One-Piece Swimsuit generally describes a type of swimwear that is a single skin-tight garment. The classic one-piece swimsuit resembles a leotard, covering most of the upper body and crotch, usually with the exception of the back and upper chest. While usually referring to the swimsuit worn by women, male characters are sometimes depicted wearing them, and there are various one-piece swimsuits designed for men.
Variations
More revealing styles of the classic one-piece swimsuit design may feature plunging necklines that exposes the wearer's cleavage or entire midriff; others may have a cutout for the cleavage or less commonly, the navel.
One-piece swimsuits designed for athletics or diving, may extend to cover the wearer's upper legs, similar to shorts, feature a zipper along the front, or cover the upper chest and neck.
