fedora
A fedora is a hat with a wide flat (or slightly curved) brim and indented crown. Fedoras are usually made of felt or leather.
Fedoras are often confused with the trilby, which has a shorter brim. Fedoras are also difficult to tell apart from panama- and homburg hats, and these tend to get lumped into the fedora tag.
Fedoras were worn very commonly in the Americas in the 1920s to early 1950s. In modern times the fedora is usually associated with stereotypically socially inept males in an attempting to distance himself from modern fashion with the distinct style of past fashion.
