Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

The body type of an animal character that is depicted in its natural (real-life species) form.

While four legged locomotion is very common among ferals, methods of locomotion found among ferals can include any number of legs or no legs at all. In cases where the line between feral and anthro is subtle, the difference can usually be determined by the neck and shoulder shape, and the overall posture.

  • Feral may cover mythological and fictional species as well if they resemble real life animal species in both features and body form. This also applies to monsters and robots that closely resemble real life animals.

 (example: fictional canid-like species must be quadruped to be tagged feral as all real-life canid species are quadruped)

  • Please note that non-animal characters such as plants or animated objects should never be tagged as feral, unless they are animal hybrids or otherwise strongly resemble animals.
  • Please note feral is a physical body form tag only, a character's mental faculties or sapience are not considered when tagging feral.
