I have to ask why not? I said something about this over in forum #168167 , where someone blacklisting or searching for very broad species like dragon or feline would want pokemon that resemble such creatures to be included in those results as well.

You can always tag pokemon with their family species, like canines, feline, avian, reptile, etc. But implications won't work as for the reasons shown above.
