We don't keep many <species>_<characteristic> tags around, but bat wings are both fairly distinct and notorious for being on non-bats (even if it's undertagged).

The only concrete difference seems to be that membranous_wings also includes this type:

That is what I mean. All bat_wings are membranous_wings but not all membranous_wings are bat_wings. So the implication seems reasonable.
On a side note:
The alias between mambranous_wings and webbed_wings might be missplaced. An alias between webbed_wings and bat_wings seems more fitting.
Though, if you are going for simplicity over diversity then the alias between membranous_wings and bat_wings would be the way to go.
