This is a feature request with 2 rather similar ideas I had in mind.
Requested feature overview description.
1. Being able to edit ban records that show up on a banned user their page without deleting and re-banning them just to correct/alter the record.
Bear in mind that editing the record on the record page does alter the record there, but not the one visible on the banned user their page.
2. Being able to edit deletion reasons on deleted posts without undeleting and re-deleting the post just to correct/alter the deletion reason.
Why would it be useful?
1. When an administrator bans a user, the record that came with the ban cannot be altered after the ban, unless an administrator deletes it and re-bans the user, which creates excessive papertrail in "Mod actions" as well as DMails for both the user and administrator and it also just feels irksome, like "why do I have to copy and then delete this record, re-ban them and paste it back?" Not to mention that it will reset the date and reporter information.
2. Pretty much the same story as for the records, except DMails are not involved.
What part(s) of the site page(s) are affected?
1. User page/Record page.
2. Posts.
