Topic: Furry virtual reality hentai?

Posted under Off Topic

You might call it weird but does anyone think there will be 360 degree furry hentai videos for Oculus Rift and google carboard?

Updated by elad

$600 for one oculus rift headset + however much a computer powerful enough to use said headset for anything worthwhile.

how likely would you say it'd be that anyone would shell out that kind of money for porn?

VR is one thing but that's a LOT of money for some porn.

The real question is, would it even matter? You can't feel any of it, you can't physically interact with any of it. So you're basically dumping all that money into an overhyped pair of giant tv goggles. I can see something like that being somewhat immersive with an FPS or Fallout/TES game, but that's it.

maybe if used with this as well but even so,it seems like a big waste of money to me.

The Oculus Rift might be expensive for use solely for porn, but what person is going to buy it only for the porn? People buy it for the games, and if it happenes to be able to be used for porn... People probably would.

Well of course the answer is yes, it's totally differend matter how much and when. Also chuckled a bit for "furry hentai".

There are already tons of projects done with Unity engine which should be compatible with Oculus runtime, most of them just happen to be unfinished, really barebones or conversions of artists earlier animations (post #791923, post #815432).
In theory it should be possible to convert them to 360 degree videos, but I have no clue how to do that. If you find stereoscopic videos, those can be viewed with cardboard as well.

Well, you most likely won't be buying that kind of thing for just porn. But it still is pretty expensive piece of tech, which has had too much hype behind it.

Google Cardboard actually costs 1€, but of course experience is far lesser and content most likely has to be in 360 degree video as phones would have hard time maintaining proper frame rate even on simple stuff.

VR today is just a big fad that is going to fail spectacularly. AR on the other hand...

VR was a fad in the past that died out, now it came back. Augmented Reality involves "Augmenting" what is really around you, while Virtual Reality creates a whole new world for you, which can allow you to experience things that you wouldn't through Agumented.

Through January 2016, over 5 million Cardboard viewers had shipped and over 1,000 compatible applications had been published. Following the success of the Cardboard platform, Google announced an enhanced VR platform, Daydream, at Google I/O 2016.

On November 8, 2015, The New York Times included a Google Cardboard viewer with all home newspaper deliveries. Readers can download the NYT VR app, which displays journalism-focused immersive VR environments.

Google has published phone specifications to provide a good virtual reality experience. Specs include specific sensors, displays, and processors. Google says that Samsung, Alcatel, HTC, and more Android OEMs will have devices compatible with the Daydream spec this fall.

There are numerous optimizations for virtual reality coming with Daydream. VR Mode in Android has a focus on low latency, performance, and a VR system UI to allow notifications to come in seamlessly when using a viewer. These improvements are at the core of Android and will allow many devices to be compatible with VR.

As part of Daydream, Google is also releasing a reference design for VR headsets to partners.

Pretty sure "A Cathouse Tale" (brothel game in development) supports VR like Oculus.

They are using Unity 5 engine, meaning as long as they do stuff correctly, it should easily work with 3D- and VR-devices. Unity is popular because it adapts so massively on so many differend areas, would just like more devs using it be more competent sometimes.
Just use -vrmode launch parameter with desired device name. It also works with 3D monitors and TVs, so I have been using that as I'm not ready to throw massive amounts of money towards VR.

Cathouse tale seem to have rebooted so they are actually back again in early alpha stage and vrmode actually gives black menus.

I just got my Rift a few days ago. It's sweet as hell! I got it for the games, but naturally I'm pretty eager to try out some next gen smut on it too.
I did some digging and so far the pickings are a little slim (as to be expected). Be warned; I'm gay as hell, so none of these links will do much for your boob fixation.

My favourite one so far is this thing which is a Five Nights At Freddys thing:

I wouldn't say it's great but so far it's the only one I've found where someone puts something in you. Obviously you can't feel it, but you'd be shocked how convincing an illusion it is. Definitely worth a go.

There's a bunch that have been made by this Rangarig guy:
http://www.furaffinity.net/user/rangarig/
But honestly I'm not a huge fan. The character models are all lumpy and there's no first person option on any of them. If you have a thing for goofy looking dragons, this one's for you.

This one isn't ready yet, but looks like it may be promising. Followed this user to see what comes out of them in the future!

WARNING: VORE AND DIGESTION. Fantastic if this is your kinda thing, probably nightmare educing if it isn't.

And then, as a couple others have mentioned, there's "A Cathouse Tale", found here:

Now, I've had some problems with all but the first two of those! Unity opens, but stays on my desktop. My VR set doesn't want to pick it up!

Is there some way to put in said launch parameter? Assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Oh, there's also a VR category on PornHub if you're interested. I'm not! Exclusively straight panoramic video stuff. Laaame.

Easiest way might be to create shortcut, then open properties and add the parameter in the target field so if it was "C:\oculus\thing.exe" it should be "C:\oculus\thing.exe" -vrmode oculus and then cross your fingers that everything works.

VR is currently disabled for Cathouse Tale, I think the newest backer build has basic support added back into it, but I'm not backing them so I have no idea if it's actually working or not.

On the other hand Yiffalicious has released a new free version yesterday that has full VR support for Occulus, but apparently the menus aren't optimized for it.

No dice, but thanks anyway!
