Topic: Tag Implication: musclegut -> belly

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Personally, I think the musclegut tag should be done away with; one cannot have visible abs with a big_belly. While overweight muscular characters may be thing (insert here: festish), methinks the tag description is inherently contradictory.

+1 to invalidate musclegut, or posibly to alias it to belly.

(perhaps alias to the horrid tag musclechub to allow for blacklist functionality)

Gut does not mean the same thing as abs ...

Obviously, as they are mutually exclusive (insofar as visible tagging). This is why I think the tag should be aliased or removed.

Also, not all characters with a belly are overweight nor is the belly always big as far as the wiki is concerned.

True, yet the improper utilization of slightly_chubby has been brought up many times here, and a 'visible belly' pretty much conveys being overweight, even if only by a small degree (ie. not necessarily obese ).

I am likely fighting an uphill battle here, as musclegut is a popular tag; it frustrates me that such a contradictory tag exists.

Having said that, I think an alias to belly would be more appropriate, or even an alias to musclechub, as it simplifies searches (or blacklists) for a certain body typology (and does not imply a big gut as being 'muscular').

Genuinely curious about why you'd want to invalidate a tag that you (seem to) dislike/have blacklisted

Does it conflict with other tags in an active way?

Having said that, I think an alias to belly would be more appropriate,

How would you find relevant content with an alias to belly though,
overweight ~muscular ~abs?

An alias of musclegut \<\-\> musclechub may work,

can't really say I know much about tags like these

Agreed

This seems to be more of an issue with the tag definitions, rather than people them using them 'wrongly' though

Can someone who knows more about these tags explain the difference between

currently tagged with musclegut

and

neither tagged with abs nor muscular
?

Would this count? post #304362
