I noticed that there were 60 images on the site with the tag "simple_backround", which is clearly a misspelling of "simple_background". I tried to make a thread on the forum requesting the former tag be aliased to the latter, but the site returned an error message saying that the tag was already aliased. The tag's wiki page is blank, proving that this is not the case.

A more reliable way than going on the pages site is to search for it in the tag alias / implication section:

Like so, which then also provides the link to the forum post.

That would be preferred. I dunno how many times I've gone to suggest something and just had a meaningless message spat out at me

It's still considered a separate tag though, and only 10 images have both the misspelled and correctly spelled tags.

Because it can only be suggested and open once, hence why the other thread about it was linked.

When this error is given, check out the tag aliases/implications page and/or the forum if it doesn't already exist or if something else is obstructing it.

I noticed that Clawdragons said pretty much the same, but yeah...
