Topic: Tag Implication: foreshortening -> perspective

Not objecting, just started wondering how well the perspective tag is working at the moment.

I thought perspective is mainly for the background. Compared to that foreshortening is often tagged on objects. I am not even sure when to use them.

On the subject of foreshortening:
post #944923 I wouldn't personally even give this the foreshortening tag... It doens't look like we're seeing a depth to the image, it just looks like the tip of his penis is huge. I wouldn't want to find images like this when searching for perspective or foreshortening.
post #941827 Nothing even looks bigger or smaller in this one, either, so I'm guessing it was a mistag, but...

How loosely should we be tagging it?

Hm,

It's actually quite consistent, from what I've seen [citation needed]

Something like:

  • perspective

Additionally, it's most prominent for background/scenery stuff, but backgrounds can be foreshortened, and objects/characters can be drawn in perspective, since the former is part of the latter

Maybe the hand? Couldn't be anything else. In any case, it's so marginal that it doesn't fit well.

I think the best use of the perspective tag would be to only tag it for ones where it's especially noticeable.

Such as...
