Topic: Regarding "Rayman" hands?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Characters like Rayman, Susie_(Kirby), and even the original species of Miis all have hands without arms. I've been tagging my Susie uploads with "Disembodied hands" but that's mostly meant to be used for when the body isn't even present in the image, to allow a focus on another character's body. Should we (or do we already) have a separate tag for these cases?

PS: There's also Posexe's magnet-pokemon to consider.

A rudimentary search for "rayman *hands" doesn't pull up any results, so I'd assume no such tag exists.

detached_hands or floating_hands?

Yeah, disembodied_hands doesn't quite work.
I wonder what TVTropes calls those. Let's see... Floating hands and invisible anatomy?

The floating_hands tag already exists, but it's only tagged for four posts and only one of those matches this concept.

That's definitely common enough to tag. We just need to figure out what to tag it as.

Floating Limbs

Went and fixed all but the one. ┐( ツ )┌

Well, since it already exists, I suppose we may as well use the floating hands tag for now. What about the genitals on those Posexe images I linked? Those wouldn't really apply to floating limbs like Jackal suggested.

floating_anatomy as an umbrella tag?

Does detachable_* need to be fitted in here somehow / aliased?

wouldnt apply as the disembodiment in the subjected characters here is permanent and unchangeable, not a temporary ability(modular)

It wouldn't do to alias or even imply, I agree, but if something can be maneuvered while detached, then when it's doing so, it would be worth tagging floating_*.

floating_wings has 4 images, but I put it on 3 of them myself. Could easily change it.

"Disembodied" is for use when the body is out of view. As wings that are just floating behind the person, I think it's better to use a floating_wings tag like Jackal said.
