Editing an artist reverses the URL order

Expected behavior
When you go to an artist wiki, click "Edit" and then "Save", the URL's should remain in the same order as in the text box. Just like the URL's in a post's source field.

Actual behavior
e621 reverses the order. So if the URL's in the text box are:
http://prettysureitsclogged.tumblr.com/
http://www.furaffinity.net/user/downthedrainpipe/
http://thedrainpipe.deviantart.com/
Then clicking on "Save" puts them in this order:
http://thedrainpipe.deviantart.com/
http://www.furaffinity.net/user/downthedrainpipe/
http://prettysureitsclogged.tumblr.com/

Steps to duplicate
Go to any artist wiki: https://e621.net/artist/show/16060
Click "Edit", then "Save".

Bug
URL translator fails for direct FA links if the username contains a period

Expected behavior
When you put this link in the source field of post #464691:
http://d.facdn.net/art/mr.pink/1396492835.mr.pink_kaaaaaaiijuuuuu.png

e621 should add this link to the sources:
http://www.furaffinity.net/user/mr.pink/

Actual behavior
e621 adds this link:
http://www.furaffinity.net/user/mr/

Steps to duplicate
1) Take an artist whose FA username contains a period
2) Take a direct link to one of his FA posts
3) Put the direct in in the source field of the corresponding e621 post

Bug: Can't get rid of the message at the top.

Steps to duplicate:

"Downtime!"
Go away, "X".
Refresh.
"April fools!"
Go away, "X".
Refresh.
"Downtime!"
Go away, "X".

Expected behavior: If I hide a message, I should never see it again.

Actual behavior: I see it. I see two of them.

Yeah, it's annoying. There's a fix ready that should at least make it much more tolerable until we can fix it for good (once you hide one notice, any notices before it are also hidden so you should never see a notice more than once).

Tony, dude, sorry. The error logs that were here were on my side. n_n;

Why

I was adding a function to Object.prototype that was causing these bunch of errors. It appears that you have a "dictionary" inside Object.prototype, and the function I added was not in it (Object.prototype.asJSON in eSix_Extend.user.js V2.87* -- line 2201). So each time I loaded a page or clicked everywhere, RegExps were executed and failed when "asJSON" was encountered.

Again, I'm reeeally sorry for making you search for a problem you didn't even had

Check your system clock first. Security errors happen if the click is set to a different time, month, year, etc, than what it actually is.

Really? Maybe this site should use a different protocol that isn't so susceptible to errors.

I, uh, broke something I think.

Uploaded post #466577 but it's acting pretty buggy.

I think my mistake was probably putting post links in the description (left them there as a note to whoever approves it). The post seems to be getting the comments for post #237995, and when I tried to edit my post to remove the description and update a couple tags it tried to edit 237995 as well.

Tried clearing my cache just to make sure things weren't going buggy on my end, but that didn't seem to fix anything. It's messed up on my phone's browser too.

Whoops?

Wow, strange.

I've passed this along to our devs to see what they think. Thanks for letting us know!

Edit: Can at least confirm that it's definitely related to linking to posts in the description. I managed to mess up one of my own posts as a test: https://e621.net/post/show/114254/ Seems like whatever is the last post number you link to in the description is the post that you'll end up seeing the comments for, and ends up being the post that all the edit functions try to target...

That was my response as well. I was so baffled for a few minutes that I thought it just had to be on my end somehow. But now I know not to link posts in the description, at least until the issue is fixed.

There's been a serious problem going on with some posts that may or may not be popular/regularly visited, but whenever I go to these posts, the picture on the page is broken, and the link that says "Download" is a redirect taking me back to the same exact page. I really hope we can fix this. Thank you.

Also, if I'm breaking a rule according to the first post in this entire thread, I'm terribly sorry, but the ouroboros.ws bug page listed in that post won't open.

none of that should really matter, seeing how the issue is their database running out of instances to give people. they must have bumped it up again. though I wonder if dragonfruit should get someone to monitor these things.

Yeah, no. Not even close.

For everyone else, please email the contact for website issues if you continue to experience problems. The core issue was resolved a few days ago, but lingering issues help us determine the bugs.

I'd like to report something c: I'm saying this because I feel a bit of tension from the two comments above :/

The comments on post #468443 are getting scrambled...

If I get them right, the order would be:

comment #1474346 (Pooky1235) - Already reported

As I see, the ID's are wrong. Are they filling spaces of deleted comments?

Aurali, any HELP you can provide is appreciated, but please understand that you have not had access to e621's servers for at least half a year now. It's a bit misleading when you try to convince people that you know exactly what is going on, when you're not in a position to make claims like that anymore. It can end up being confusing for other users.

If you wish to inform an administrator in private regarding the exploits that you're aware of, we encourage you to do so, just like we would any user. It would be greatly appreciated!

I've seen these CloudFlare error codes recently. I thought they would be useful if I posted them here (I'm not sure about the Ray ID but I'll leave it in case it has something to do)

  • Error 502: Bad gateway [Ray ID: 11d6fd0a8a9f0968]

Error 522: Connection timed out [Ray ID: 11d6ce6e64ed0105]
Error 525: SSL handshake failed [Ray ID: 11d6c8744d6a0105]

At least I know my browser and CloudFlare are working, but it seems that e6 is not configured correctly for it...

Updated by anonymous

same here, that cloudflare error is much more common than that odd bug where clicking download on a pic keeps redirecting back to the same pic unless to change the https to http.

Error 522 Ray ID: 11de4590737f09d0 connection timed out

host error

the ID is different with each error but its usually the same 522 error for me and its always a host error when the page comes up as an error.

edit: refreshing a few times helps with some pages but sometimes it just loads real slowly or goes back to the error page again.

...come on, let me save this post edit ya dumb error page >:(

A bug -
I get comments on my uploads that don't appear on this page - https://e621.net/comment?poster_id=83495

Turns out that happens when the first comment on a post is posted "without bumping". Then that comment won't show up on the post until another comment is made (without using the "post without bumping" option). I'm just going to remove that option entirely since it's useless so this should stop happening when I do that.

About the favorites being gone, I assume you mean you can only see one page of your favorites; there's no page 2 or 3 or whatever. Until we fix that, you can access more pages of favorites by changing the page number in the address bar. For example, change /post/index/1/fav%3Ausername to /post/index/2/fav%3Ausername

Make sure what you are saying is at the bottom of the text box and is not [quote]Inside a quote block like this.[/quote] Otherwise it's very hard to read your posts. Also, my mistake on misinterpreting your problem, suddenly losing ~2000 of your ~4000 favourites is a strange issue indeed.

Those are tagged as bestiality, which implies feral. So if you're trying to untag feral without also removing bestiality, it'll just get instantly retagged.

And test on normal, non-url text

Seems to be browser specific: http://i.imgur.com/jF2K3ER.png (this is Comodo Dragon 33)
Though the text does not wrap automatically on Chrome for Android either.

Two things about the API:

First: In the documentation https://e621.net/help/api Tags -> Related

type Restrict results to this tag type (can be general, artist, copyright, species, or species).

So... is there a difference between species and species?

Second: I think I don't quite understand how querying tags works.
I expected it to work like this: https://e621.net/tag/index.xml?order=name&limit=100&page=4
But it doesn't matter what I set the page-parameter to, it always returns the same page. I assume "limit" limits the total amount of tags found. But how can I set the page size then? Setting "limit" to 0 would return all tags at once, but that just times out like expected.
Also, how can I get the number of existing tags? Currently, I can't determine how many pages I have to query.

All fixed in the next update.

No way to do that yet, sorry :(

Shouldn't that be just a small change? There has to be some way, because on this page: https://e621.net/tag it shows the number of pages too (2481 in this case).

Anyways thanks for getting round to it.

Not much of a bug report, but... the site has been running extremely slow for me recently. For a week or so. Today it's so bad that even most tag combo searches refuse to load at all.

I wonder if it has anything to do with that constant flood of empty tag edits? Many posts have couple of pages of those by now, which incidentally makes it hard to figure out who's mistagging things: the first page of tag history is usually full of blank edits, and we can't view the other pages.

I'm still getting constant CloudFlare errors (between London <-> e621.net). I can barely get any work done, because tag scripting fails to work most of the time and combo searches usually time out.

same on my end mine is diffrent though sometimes its:

Seattle <-> e621

or for some odd reason I can't figure out almost all the time its:

San Jose <-> e621

I figure if its happening in London or where you are and to me in Seattle where I live it must be e6 itself though i'm no expert...

Getting random, intermittent 404 pages when preforming a search. Screenshot.

It doesn't seem to be tied to any particular tag as far as I can tell. At first I thought it was whenever I searched "gif" but it seems to just pick and choose when not to work. Not sure if this helps, but I'm using Chrome browser. It also seems to be about 1 out of every 4 searches or less.

EDIT: Also using Ch3l's e6 script as well, as you probably guessed from the screenshot :P

Searches ending with gif, png, jpg or swf (and maybe some other known formats) might throw a 404 error. For example, you can safely search for type:swf game, but not for game type:swf. Seems like this lingering issue with searches ending in file extensions is being fixed, but sometimes it's still happening (a server not synchronized properly, maybe?). To circumvent it, put a "/" to the end of the URL in the address bar whenever you get a 404 and it doesn't want to go away.

I though the gif tag might have something to do with it, but jpg, swf, png, and those kinds of tags seemed to work just fine. I must have just gotten (un?)lucky. But putting "gif animated" also seemed to throw a 404 sometimes, not just "animated gif" *shrug*

Anyway, thanks, now I know, and knowing is blah blah blah

So I've been trying to upload this for 2 weeks and after not seeing this fixed today and not a single post on the forums I've decided to try posting here.
Attempting an upload always returns a PHP error. Here's an image.
