Not a bug:
the wiki states that savannah has been aliased to
savanna, so in fact, the alias is working exactly as designated.

It was likely one of those 'which is more common' tagging discussions, as the alias could work either way
(I am with you, however, in thinking it should be reversed).

Savanna is a place. Savannah is a character in animal crossing. It should probably be reversed either way.

Correction: Savannah_(animal_crossing) is a character in animal crossing. I'd say leave it alone, fucking with the alias shouldn't be a concern. This bug is a bit more of a priority than it.

Looks like something weird is going on for sure. I've put it on the list of things to investigate more fully. Can confirm that the alias is not pending and that it points at the correct tag, but is not being applied.

It looks like this was a cache issue. Tag aliases are cached and it appears the value in the cache wasn't loaded properly, and it didn't consider it an alias. I applied the tag alias again and it has resolved the issue. I'll look into making sure that tag aliases are more reliable in the future.
