Hoo boy this feels specifically relevant to the nearby topic.

Because you know whos using the tag. Trans people. Who dont want to use the term dickgirl.

Thats why its being tagged that way and why I suggesyed we use trans boy and trans girl to begin with.

transgender was invalidated because in most cases, you can't tell if a dickgirl or cuntboy character was made that way (trans) or born that way (not trans) and generally doesn't matter anyway. All terms that rely on the same external information that transgender does should be treated the same way. Also, not wanting to use a specific term is no reason to divide one subject matter between two different tags.

+1 for invalidation.

transexual is not applicable under twys since its from its definition not something that can be seen and clearly identified in art and nether is transgirl, also kinda demeaning too sence all the tagged are basicly categorized as adolescent children...

Also Gdescribe might suggest to get those people to post their view and suggestions on owr 32 page long thread on renaming the tags that you presume they are taking issue of to give more weight to the urging for changing the tags asap instead of boycotting the tags on their own and getting in trouble.

I think youre missing the point.

Making it an invalid tag isnt the way to go when its clearly being used for the same purpose as an existing tag.

Either it should be aliased as part of the current tag set or the other way around. Either way.

Invalidating an otherwise valid tag to continue to pretend that its not relevant is willful blindness.

id say disambiguate it instead.

To be fair, that could work, but how? Could you provide examples?

put there links to female and dickgirl tags, a brief explanation which instances they are meant for and maybe a link to twys rule page

So what is a disambiguation anyways? Is it just a way of telling people to elaborate on what they meant? (like "painting a wall", or "look at the beautiful painting!")

I'd say invalidate because generally trans* it only known using outside information, and most of the times it is tagged, it's someone tag-warring not knowing(or completely disregarding) twys. But I am conflicted on this as it can have legitimate uses, such as when there are obvious surgical scars from breast removal or genital changing(I don't know the proper word).
Maybe there is a middle ground here or something, I am a sleepy yeen right now so I cannot fully think straight, more comment on it from me in the morning if I have anything else to say and if it hasn't been decided by then.

its used when a tag can mean multiple things and person is meant to go view the tag wiki and use instead the tag they meant to use. like boxer is aliased to boxer_(disambiguation) because the tag can mean boxer dog breed, boxer underwear and boxers as in the people who punch other people as sport

I think a disam would be better since there can be evidence of a transgirl (or man, too, for that matter) not just being a dickgirl (or cuntboy). The caveat would be that those things would need to be visible in the image when it always isn't, and people already don't like how a characters gender can seemingly change from one post to another depending on what's showing.

+1 to disambiguation or just leaving it alone then because there are clear reasons to use this tag. And due to the motivations around the current discussion that leave this in a very curious position for me I definitely feel strongly that invalidating the tag is not the path to take.

Perhaps... I didn't mean to come off as a opponent of the tag change for dickgirl and the others, so I agree with the disamb as well.

+1 to aliasing to the pre-existing tags, or all to some set of happier alternatives, but not both. Gender isn't visible; Sex is. TWYS. Cultural sensibilities shouldn't muddle people's attempts to retrieve porn.

All 5 instances of transgirl are now correctly tagged as dickgirl. Transboy, transmale, transfemale had no instances whatsoever. The chances of any of these being tagged again is extremely low. No disambiguation or aliasing necessary.

This disambiguation would just be preventative action. It'd make it easier for janitors and tagging-project managers to do their jobs.

Assuming anyone ever tags them again. For all we know, three of those have never been tagged in this site's nine year history and never will get tagged.

The tags are gone now. No further action needs to be taken.

By the way, disambiguation is supposed to be for tags that refer to multiple things. Besides transgendered women, what does the transgirl tag refer to?

It could probably point to howto:tag_genders.

-1. Invalidate it. You can rarely see "Trans" in TWYS, and it's really not worth tagging the rare instances with a custom tag, better to use scar for it.
