Topic: naked_* tags

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

I was aware of naked_apron and naked_towel. These seemed to work with me because the items in question don't qualify strictly speaking for either clothing (towel) or mostly_nude (apron, at least rarely).

However, it turns out there's a growing use of naked cape and naked scarf. There's even naked tabard, apparently!

I'm greatly dubious that naked_cape and naked_scarf should be used, if only because they're an obvious slippery slope (naked_socks? naked_hat? naked_boots etc. etc.), and the concept seems generally pretty well covered by mostly_nude. Any thoughts?

Maybe Article_only, ie apron_only or socks_only. Makes more sense than naked_towel, personally.

That sounds like a good alternative to the current tags, and definitely sounds better if tags for other almost-nude characters are made later on.

Yep. Naked_* tags are used a lot on Danbooru, which might be why some users have started using them here too.

But it doesn't work as well here because our usage of the nude tag differs from Danbooru.

So yeah, renaming the tags to *_only sounds like a good idea. ...would be best to do so before that tag group gets completely out of hand.

I wasn't sure what would be the best way to go about transferring the naked_* tags. I figured the most efficient method would be to alias the current tags to the new ones, then transfer the wiki articles to the new tags. Such as:

naked_apron -> apron_only
naked_towel -> towel_only
naked_scarf -> scarf_only
naked_cape -> cape_only

And maybe for these less populated tags too(?):

naked_ribbon -> ribbon_only
naked_tabard -> tabard_only

Let me know if aliasing them this is ideal or if I should manually go through and transfer the tags. Also, I wasn't sure if I should submit this as an alias request on a new forum post, but I guess it may be a bit redundant at this point.
