In Kirby: Triple Deluxe, for the last world you encounter ant-like enemies known as Antr. The species of Taranza and Sectonia's true form aren't really named, but based on that, I'm thinking of naming the species Spidr after the Antr species. Potentially suffix with _(kirby) to avoid typos of somebody missing the E on SpidEr, though history suggests this has never happened.

Edit: Looks like the People of the Sky have no species, either. I'm thinking of floralian for them, named after the flower planet upon which they live.

We don't need made-up tags.

It completely is. If there's something we have no tag for, but does exist, we're forced to make one up for it.

Make up tags on EXISTING things that actually exist, Yes, But you're proposing naming a species that doesn't have a name.

Smugleaf was a fairly popular made up tag. And then, there were insect_abdomen_pussy and cleft_tail tags, both of which I completely 100% made up, and they picked up.
The purpose of a thread to discuss it was to see if anybody has different ideas on what to use--we still need to use something.

That said, a lack of support means it's unlikely to go anywhere, as well.

If there's no official name for something, be it a species or a character, fans resort to creating names for them. I don't think that's particularly controversial.

The point I was trying to make is if one user decides something's species name is now *THIS* unless they're able to also inform a hundred thousand other people is that it's also called -X- then you're going to end up being the only person referring to it by the new made up name. Do this in several instances and you have about 30 names for a made up species and no one agreeing on it. I say just use existing tags and let nature take its course.

Hence making a thread to discuss it. This informs users that, hey, this needs a name. Let's all agree on something.
I'm not making a name and not telling anybody, here, nor am I even tagging it before we come to a conclusion.

-1 to spidr species, there is no reference as to its existence or usage, antr on the other hand does actually exist.

In regards to "people of the sky", while species is marked as unknown on the kirby wikiwebsite it at the same time also identifies them as fairies...

I don't know anything about kirby franchise, but we already had made-up tag for species. mewthree had been used before name for mega_mewtwo was announced. It was aliased later, I don't remember any problem about that tag. I see no problem with naming species and making them easier to find/blacklist.

Placeholder tags for things that have no official name are nothing new, and certainly not bad. As long as it's actually a species and not just a single character with that species I certainly won't be opposed to the tag.

Queen Sectonia's original form was a Spidr. Dark Taranza is also a Spidr, but that's basically just an alternate dimension variation of himself.
Kassiopeia Kitten would probably call her oc Prince Aminon a half Spidr rather than a half Antr if it was an official name, considering he's supposed to be the son of Sectonia and Taranza.
Broken-Hedgehog has a Spidr oc called Mai Koa and Halgalaz made An adoptable Spidr (as well as whatever Queen Sectonia's corrupted form was)

Worth mentioning, Halgalaz refers to all the unnamed species as Floralians, just the bees are aristocrats, the flowers are fairies, and the spiders are normal citizens.
