Gex is the main character in the Gex series of games.
There might be merit to giving it a copyright tag instead of series, but I'll let someone more tag- and franchise-savvy decide.

Series sounds good, but I'm also in support of separating both tags from the base. gex_(character) and gex_(series). Gex itself could alias to either, and users would then realize whether they're missing the character tag where it belongs, or having it where it doesn't. It's a lot harder to mess up when the tags have suffixes.
