Sex isn't the only activity that involves pounding. What about pounding nails into wood, fence posts into the ground, etc.?

What about 'hammering'empty or 'steadying'empty instead?
If this tag is used mostly (if not entirely) to sex, keeping it up specifically for those situations seems a little unwise.

That's why I decided to invalidate it rather than alias it to sex.
If there's something like what you described, construction might be a better fit.
