No wonder it's hard to find, it's a partial jpeg screenshot of a transparent png/WIP. The style is fairly distinctive thought, so somebody should recognise the artist eventually.

This was already discussed the first time these images were uploaded. These are the tumblr raw versions.
It is possible to resize images with alpha channels and not have that happen, so it is probably a limitation of e621's resizer.
Even when you view the full size image, it looks bad at my resolution because it stretches past the blue of the page and onto the tiled hexagon background

Open the image by itself in a new tab.

wait...
...what? i can't make an alias suggestion for rmrjl_(artist) because...what is this tag aliased to currently? it's listed in the "other names" field for the ljrmr (artist) tag yet shows up as a separate artist tag on the same posts tagged with ljrmr (artist).
i think something got mixed up somewhere with these 2 artist tags...or something. weird.
edit: so ljrmr_(artist) is aliased to the other artist tag and yet... i'm confused by this oddity.

ok, but why are bot tags appearing on the same posts? isn't the alias system supposed to replace a tag with the one it's aliased to?

Because it's not approved yet.

I asked about this from Kira.
Main problem is that all thumbs are always saved as JPG files, so keeping transparency is off the table. Second issue is that the tool that site uses to crete thumbnails apparently doesn't have configuration for this and simply removes transparecny, so fixing this will take much more time and effort than it seems on surface. It's same deal with downscaled samples, JPG'd.
PNG seems to always use pure black on transparent sections but with gifs this can change depending on optimization done.
In any way, this does appear to be artists main aim from the beginning even in their own tumblr http://rmrjl.tumblr.com/post/157039921079/push-button
