Topic: [Bug] Nonexistant captchas when trying to post comments or add to pool

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

Bug overview description.

Attempting to post a comment gives me the red error dialog, which is completely filled with Cloudfare's captcha page. Trying to add a post to a pool also shows the captcha page, but it is squeezed into the sidebar.

In both cases, the captchas fail to load.

What part(s) of the site page(s) are affected?

Add comment to post, add to pool, probably others (we'll see if I can actually submit this post to the forums...)

What is the expected behavior?

The post would go through, or I would be given a captcha to solve before the post goes through.

What actual behavior is given instead?

Captchas don't load in, making it impossible to post comments, etc.

Time of incident (if applicable).

About 2:00 UTC.

Can you reproduce the bug every time?

Yes, though it likely depends on how much cloudfare likes your IP address. You can probably use Tor to reproducibly trigger it.

What steps did you take to replicate this bug?

Try to post a comment.

Errors or other messages returned (if any).

See above.

i have a feeling that this might be caused by something being weird in your end that makes your activity appear suspicious in cloudflare's end? do you possibly do something / use something to browse / use something in your browser or internet connection that is like.. not something some standard user might use

This is most likely Cloudflare's Tor protection. Stop using Tor and start using a normal VPN and you will be able to use the page normally.
