By the way, it seems this artist is using the name コの字 (conoji) to the exclusion of "u-shaped" now, so perhaps this tag should be updated. I would say "conoji" might be the preferred romanization going by the artist's Tumblr: http://conoji.tumblr.com/

Wondering if this should be in the other direction now, seeing as more images are tagged with totemoii_029 nowadays. Thoughts?

I think totemoii_029 and u-shaped should be aliased to conoji if that's the preferred romanization by artist of the name they use now (コの字)

Good question. I never even thought to ask that, but it seems like it might have just been a translation that someone here decided to use instead of a transliteration. Since U is essentially the same shape as コ, many JP to EN dictionaries (1, 2, 3) translate コの字 that way.

In that case, +1 to conoji.
