Is it in one line? If so, only collab images (which have both tags) will be blacklisted. What you want:
deyogee
jitterbug_jive

Do it like that and it should work.

Every item on blacklist needs to be on new line, so make sure that you aren't accidently putting everything on same line.

Blacklist deyogee if you want to blacklist content with the tag in it e.g. artist, or user:deyogee if it's users uploads you want to blacklist.

I am not putting them on the same line, but the image is still showing up do i need to space them on the new line?

1. you have to put each blacklisted item on own line
dog cat hides images that are tagged as dog AND cat

dogcat

hides images that are tagged as dog OR cat

2. are you trying to hide users or artists? because they both work differently. artists are blacklisted like any other tag but with users you have to put user: in front of the blacklisted thing (for example user:ledian)

3. remember to use underscores with two part tags/usernames

Yeah, I have put ':" in front of the users names and nothing is working.

UPDATE:

I have put : in front of the user/artist name and nothing is working I'm thinking blacklist is broken and is not showing the blacklist image. i tried it on marsminer and it worked before. so, i don't know what is happening.

proof:

user:deyogee
user:jitterbug_jive
user:marsminer

Slightly related but I had a similar issue a few days ago, where my blacklist randomly stopped working. I think maybe it becomes an issue once your blacklist is filled to a certain point? (it hadn't hit the limit but it was pretty full)

I fixed it myself after I cleaned my blacklist and lessened the bloat. Op is your blacklist big? Maybe what you experienced is the same as what I did days ago.

No, in the proof I just showed it only shows three people.

I said a thing, then realized a mistake, but it was too late. Let this post stand as a monument to my insufficient editing speed.

you do?

Didn't edit it in time.

Remove "user:" from the blacklist. Blacklist this:

deyogee
jitterbug_jive
marsminer

The "user:" portion blacklists uploads by that user, which is different from art tagged with that name.

what do you mean by that?

so remove "user" and just put the name?

Remove "user:"

You just want the name there. Nothing before or after.

Why are you blacklisting users? For artists you only blacklist a tag, no metadata prefix.

the problem was that you were trying to blacklist users when you were supposed to blacklist artist tags. user is someone who has account here, and these artists do not have accounts here. when you are blacklisting normal tags such as artist tags, only the name is enough.

I do think it's pretty funny nobody thought to ask just what picture needed to be blacklisted. Occam's razor anyone?

Updated by anonymous

I dunno, if someone begins by talking about blacklisting users, it's fair enough to presume they are talking about more than one post. Although they could also just not know about id: blacklisting

Given these things seem to be about zombified lust+gore ponies, it seems to be a content thing.

also if it's the content you can blacklist combinations of tags if together.

If it's zombie fetishes you want to remove then add these to it:
zombie rating:e
undead rating:e

If it's gore ponies then add this:
gore my_little_pony

The ones on the same lines specifically act like a logical AND, while different lines are like a logical OR. For each line, it checks if everything on that line is present. If even one line does that, it's blacklisted.

A lot of high schools teach boolean logic but under a different name. If you ever took a class with AND, OR, NOT, and things like that, that's this. Just remember that. The same line is "this tag AND that tag". Different lines are "this group of one or more tags OR this group of one or more tags".

And if you want to block anything that DOESN'T include something, put a minus sign directly before the tag, with no space.

Also the minus thing works in Google too in case you ever need to filter out something you know you'll get.

While there's no space after the minus, make sure to include the one before: foo -bar

absolutely. spaces separate tags so without one you have one tag.

Well yes, but most of the initial people responding were trying to work with only half of the available information. I mean no disrespect to the op or other users.

At least when it comes to two artists in this case. Oh well, let's consider this a learning experience for everyone involved.
