Topic: found artist zu but post is tagged character zu

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Did a reverse sauceNAO search on post #1091247 and found artist zu. Problem is, when I try to add artist zu to the post it removes character zu from the list of tags. Guessing two tags can't be called the same despite being different types and that I have to add zu_(artist) instead?

I'm not sure... the part that makes me a little uncertain is this..

This is the character Zu... she seems to be in about half of the pictures tagged zu: post #143927

She seems to belong to rockcandy.

when I search zu -rockcandy I still get zu pictures. She is a human, with cat ears, brown hair and a green ribbon.

One of these pictures is post #1091238 <-- you can clearly see the green ribbon, even though it's darker green than usual.

then post #1091250 is also of zu, under water.

SO then we come back to post #1091247 ... which... isn't of zu, I don't...

wait.

wait.. are the blue gets shoes? aond the 'fur tufts' hands grabbing fins?

I THINK I see a bit of tail off on the right foot....

I think this IS Zu the character also.

(I was gonna say before that zu probably wasn't gonna be the author's name at all, but! if tha'ts zu-the-character again, then Zu absolutly isn't the artist. WHo is? who knows.

that said, in that circumstance in the future... either zu_(artist) or zu_(rockcandy) or zu_(snowwolf) ... or, in a last ditch scenario, I think I have tagged a character as something like zu_(bluefox) before, out of desperation and no other answers.

(Your unclosed parenthesis made me uncomfortable, so I fixed it)

So does that mean I simply don't know how to interpret "reverse sauceNAO search"?

I'm still not sure if I understand that part

Sorry, try not to pay too much attention to them.... I type far more ('s than )'s :)

No, I think you got it right! I just think that website sauceNAO drew it's info from was wrong. :)

Yeah, artist. :)

When I first started investigating... and I went through a lot of different assumptions, and rambled a bit. the bottom line is that saucenao has the wrong info because another website made a mistake.

I.. .THINK the image is from a game, anyway. But dunno. but you're fine, man, you did everything right, good and fantastically. :)

Yay!
Well, I guess the artist will remain a mystery...
Anyway, thanks for clearing that up for me:)

It could probably be figured out if someone wanted to delve into the 'rockcandy franchise' but I've already spent enough time poking at them for now and i'm not sure it's worth the effort, right now. :)

Keep up the great work <3

That's always been the case. A tag can't be two types, that wouldn't make any sense whatsoever.
Sites that have the type making it a separate tag keep the type field in. For example, in derpibooru, it would be artist:caluriri, not caluriri, but none of our tags ever retain that prefix.
