New IB Test

I'm trying to post my own artwork that are drawn traditionally. And this site has standards regarding posting traditional art. The problem is, my scanner is broken. And since I live in a rural are, and my hometown doesn't have a library, and I don't want to spend much for scanning on internet cafes, the place where I could scan my things is at my mom's workplace. And I wouldn't want to scan my NSFW artwork on public places.

So that only leaves me on my phone (which is a Lenovo). It's kinda my go to gadget, regardless that it's slow, but with adding an additional camera app and a photoediting app, it takes pictures quite well, even if it's not of iPhone quality due the graininess and the lack of low light settings. At least it takes better pictures than my other phone, which while faster, the storage is small and the camera is crap.

Although my phone takes pictures well, my fear I have is that some of my posts won't be approved because of the cons I mentioned about my phone, and this site has some standards regarding quality. So, how do I not get discouraged about that?

Do you not have a PC that can handle better photo manipulation than a phone? Something a lot of artists who don't have scanners do is take a picture, and then perform the touchups and cleaning on PC. Tracing another artist's work is frowned upon, but tracing your own traditional media into digital media is perfectly fine.

I kinda used Photoshop a few times, but I did not fully realize about that use until now. I use Pixlr often on my phone so that I could edit my pictures and post at the same gadget. But Photoshop is fine as well.

Tracing another artist's work is frowned upon, but tracing your own traditional media into digital media is perfectly fine.

And not once did I say anything about tracing, which I also frown upon, so how is it related to traditional art?

Traditional art has to be very well made (see Drachenmagier) to be approved. It's easier to just turn most things into digital media.

Read up on how to get the best pictures with your phone-- but the answer is probably going to come down to lighting, some sort of stand for your phone and careful positioning. But look it up. there are totalyl goign to be articles about photographing artwork... past that, use something like photoshop to clean up your work-- you can fix a lot of problems with photoediting software and some time. it doesn't have to be photoshop. you don't have to redraw it in photoshop or anything-- just be willing to spend some time with it and learning. Google's your friend.

So since DelurC got banned (How? For what?) I guess this thread is just gonna get locked, or unused?

All it said was "compromised", and I don't even know what or why. But even if the OP is not around, this thread should continue in order to help anyone who needs motivation.

Someone got access to his account (again), and posted real life bestiality images (again), as well as harassed Ratte (also again).

Since this has been the second time that this happened with his account he'll now stay banned.

And any alts will be banned? Even if he was compromised and didn't actually do any of that stuff himself (I get the feeling you're not buying that, though)?

Does this mean he can no longer be motivated to change his thread's title to something less clickbaity?

He can't keep his account credentials secure, be it password, cookies, or API key.

It is unfortunate we have to keep him banned, but consider this:
If he creates a new account, what stops that account's credentials being secure?
If we unban his account, what stops it from happening yet again? It would basically be giving a known troll a unban from permanent since for some reason they keep getting their hands on DelurC's credentials.

Again, it is unfortunate and I would like for DelurC to not have gotten banned for something he didn't directly do, but there is no other choice, for users become a risk to the site when they cannot keep their credentials secure.

Well, the thread's better title would have been somethng like "I'm making a utility for e621" ... the motivation part was sort of him-exclusive. That said, a generalized 'motivation' thread seems like a great thing to have-- A place for people to come in and get a bit of cheerleading onward :)

As for DelureC -- well, I'm pretty bummed. I was really looking forward to his utility... but I can certainly understand the 'whys' behind this.

I do actually believe him, but he is still responsible for his own account. If you leave the door to your car open and the key inserted you won't see a dime from your insurance when it gets stolen.

And I did warm him that he won't be unbanned if it happens again, because this did happen abojt 2 or 3 months ago.

We can't tell you. Check his forum posts or comments if he left an email or something else you could use in there.

I don't know what happens if someone is banned, but I left ways for him to contact me in my profile, if he really wanted to. I don't know if he'd be able to see them, or if getting banned means you just get hit with a big fat wall and can't even see the site anymore.

So, shall this thread be closed? Or should we convert this into a general motivation thread?

Speaking of motivation, is this fine? Trivia:It's the second version of the upload, as the first one was taken on my phone camera.

Can't comment on the quality -- I'm way too forgiving on those things. But I think it's super cute--and I'm a sucker for water color stuff

I know me posting here is counter productive, but it has been a week and I feel I needed to clear that up too, as you make me look like some imbecile that doesn't know to use his computer and internet, when in reality it is the first time someone got my password (if it is it) in my life and I felt really bad for it, I also had these physical symptoms like pressure in the chest area and hearing my heart thump really hard (just like I have now), it's like when being scared but not quite like it.
And I would also like to know some details about it, as I explained in email.

No, you were compromised a second time. We banned you for the first time after someone got into your account, and posted bestiality content. We found out later that you posted your login credentials in plain text on the forum, but that was a good deal after we already cleaned up everything.

We don't know how they got into your account this time around, but it doesn't matter. You've been repeatedly compromised and we will not allow you back in.

So, it would appear that (maybe) DelurC is still working on the e621_bot despite the (alas very unfortunate) ban situation. If any of you guys click the original file upload links provided by DelurC, you'll see the file upload isn't available any more without purchase of a subscription option for UploadFiles.io.

It would appear that a new one has been posted here, and is available to be downloaded. I've checked it on VirusTotal, and it shows as clean.

I thought I'd let you guys know, as the tool has amazing usage potential, and people can download it again with this link.

I think it's a nice tool, but it's a shame that DelurC can't update us, or respond to any questions / issues due to the situation.

DelurC, if you're reading this (and are still interested in your e621_bot project), I'd be happy to speak with you on another platform, and then post updates to this thread on your behalf (as long as the Admins have no issue with it), so people can still use what you've made, and you can provide support for it.
