Every remaining post in this tag is now of a character saying "Boo". Is there any value in keeping this as a tag? If so, what should it be renamed to? Or should it just be nuked?

It is a rather distinctive and iconic thing to exclaim, etc and without any other easy way to find it. I suppose I could see keeping it. It does need a name though, yeah. What about boo_noise? That way, regardless if it's a spooky noise floating through the air for horror/halloween ambiance, or a character saying it for a joke... it still fits. But it's also clear that it's not meant for any character named boo, just for the 'boo' noise. It's nothing fancy, but I think it could do the job.

What do you think?

Is there any need to distinguish between the ghost/surprising-somebody sound, and the sound audiences sometimes make if they disapprove of what's happening on stage?

That could be tagged as booing, which doesn't normally get interpreted as the other meaning and fits with the usual convention for action tags. Still a bit ambiguous though.

I couldn't find any precedent for tags for specific words spoken in dialogue that aren't memes. Indeed we usually prefer to invalidate such things, e.g. topic #35429.

I'd say no. It's been brought up elsewhere before, I think by you, that we really don't need to transcribe the dialog of an image into the tags. It's one thing to have generic tags like profanity or pet_praise, but when you get to specific words or phrases like good_boy, good_girl, etc, that's a bit much. There are multiple ways to say the same thing that don't include those particular words, especially when you consider different languages.
