Isn't it about time the tag was changed to the character's true name?
It's been 3 years.
It can hardly be considered a spoiler anymore.
Of course this is just a question, so no need to go apeshit.

For reference's sake, forum #173199 was where this decision was made. I have no opinion on the matter, though, since I only keep up with a couple of UT comics where the focus isn't on the protagonist.

There's quite a few posts where it's hard to tell which of the kids it is. Since Frisk and Chara look pretty much alike, especially if it's a close-up. And it's got even harder to tag after Deltarune (since there's now three kids that look alike -- or maybe just two kids, who knows where that story will go).
So the 'protagonist' tag has been handy for that. "Not sure which kid this is, gonna just tag it as 'protagonist'".

But is that tag any more accurate than any other in that situation? If we're tagging characters that may not or may be Undertale's protagonist specifically, why is protagonist_(undertale) preferable to Frisk? The meaning is the same.
