okay seriously someone needs to get this going.
If we create this implication, we'd need to make up tags to match the theme (young characters in some sort of sexual situation) for the intersex tags. Young characters can absolutely be intersex as well, typically gynomorphs/herms due to Oppai, and loli & Shota are the tags people know to blacklist when avoiding young characters. So, we'd need to fill the hole in their blacklist for the intersex genders, because otherwise only young -rating:safe would solve such a dilemma.
Alternatively, we shouldn't imply genders with loli or shota, and instead it should reference the kind of body the young character has; a girlish body for loli, and a boyish body for shota. This would let us include the intersex tags when tagging these, and it isn't unprecedented because at very least some users on Pixiv refer to their "futa" characters, chicks with a penis, as loli in that site's tags.
So either we create new tags that imply our intersex genders, or we don't imply genders to loli or shota. We have posts like post #2994867, post #2947666, post #2801983, post #2691723, and post #2537771 where a young character is identifiably intersex, and yet can only be blacklisted with cub, young, or an age group tag. And although neither solution is perfect, one likely adds unintuitive tags and the other dilutes expected results, I guarantee that not solving this problem will cause more complaints from people who want to avoid this content. So, it should get solved in some way...
I honestly don't see a way an andro-shota tag could apply to anything. given that the only way you could see anything to tag would be nudity and the applicable content would indicate loli, only way I could see gyno-loli is if there is some sort of breastage and I've got no answer to that or herm.

Well, the latter two are gonna be the more common issue. Paradoxically, oppai lolis are young girls with ridiculously sized hooters, and this description can also qualify young gynomorphs or herms. I had the perfect post to show as an example, but couldn't find it so I shotgunned out 5 "similar enough" posts. Andromorph is not too big of a concern, but I have 'em and maleherm blacklisted so I'm a bit biased. In theory, a young character could look masculine enough to be tagged male, and yet possess the genitalia necessary to get tagged to get tagged andromorph or maleherm, but I've never seen such a character on e6, or any other site for that matter...
The naming convention is my biggest issue: I'm terrible at coming up with names, so if anyone wants to chip in with some feel free to. However, adding Loli or shota in the name might cause people to add those tags manually, which is something we don't want if they imply a gender.

the best I can come up with current standards is
andro_shota
gyno_loli
herm_shota
herm_loli
Or something like that, that or completely be gone with the shota loli tags as they're essentially child male, child female
Well, here’s a radical idea that just popped into my head while reading this, and would affect over 99% of the posts on the entire site: we could create a masculine tag and a feminine tag, and have male, maleherm, and andromorph imply masculine, and have female, herm, and gynomorph imply feminine. Then, in this case, we only have to say that a loli is feminine but not necessarily female, and a shota is masculine but not necessarily male, have those tags imply masculine or feminine instead of a specific gender.
I don’t suppose this is actually going to happen, but it would be pretty useful.

I think they would be useful in it self, but not with those sort of implications. I think it would be a good complimentary tag, sort of like how ambiguous works

I feel like it's a bit weird to shorten andromorph and gynomorph to "andro" and "gyno" for this since those kinda just mean "masculine" and "feminine", so andro_shota and gyno_loli would kinda read as redundant. but-- at the same time, I don't really know what we'd use otherwise.
edit: what if we just took the feminine and masculine terms that we already use for young characters and use those as the prefix; so something like shotamorph and lolimorph? I kinda like those.

While I acknowledge the problem with the missing young intersex descriptor, I think that it is not a problem of this implication.

As the original request states the term shota refers to only young male.
Similarly loli only refers to young female.
I think the terms for the intersex versions are just missing.
https://e621.net/posts/3958593?q=user%3Aalphamule+ravynarcadiavalos This is an example of a similar issue with magical_girl/boy. The outfit is clearly based on Sailor Moon, but the character qualifies as male because of TWYS, and has an intersex lore tag as well. I tried to fit the tags as close to appearance and character as possible without creating a bunch of new tags or annoying the owner. XD I also asked the people involved on IB with art I uploaded, to create/update their artist, character, and so on tags.
I blame the Japanese for not creating more than male and female versions! joke
Seriously though, I wonder if there actually is a popular tag for that, or if Pixiv tagging is just that sparse that you never see it.

regardless of what others may say about other tags, Shota by definition is young boys

I think this is the best solution if we want to keep with the Japanese terms. Still means we lack equivalents for herms and maleherms though, I think.
We'd probably have to use a more generic English term like young_herm or cub_herm and alias/implicate if a Japanese one ever becomes popular (and thus likely to be searched)? Hmm, is there a male_child or female_child tag?
Oh, yes, female child does, and both SFW/NSFW so gotta be careful with alias/imply scripts! BTW: Einstein is a very smart dog. ;)
There is also young_female and young_male tags. I believe we had loli and shota be different even if rating:explicit causes them to be redundant because people want to be able to blacklist, easier.

Just saying, topic #31357 would have solved all of this.

maybe? but nobody liked that BUR.
also it seems like the main discussion on this thread is just the issue of young intersex characters, which isn't a part of your bur at all.

It's mentioned right there in the OP, as the third bullet point.
Also the votes were a lot more positive before you mentioned that shota is currently only applied to sexualised characters. I've been considering that issue for a while now because issues with these tags keep coming up, and I'm now strongly leaning towards removing that part of the definition entirely. Not only is it inconsistent with the way every other tag on this site works, it's barely enforced.
