What's wrong with keeping the main tag as 'the brain (arthur)'? "Alan Powers" might be his real name, but his nickname is by far more recognizable, and will be more convenient for searching and tagging purposes.

Alan Powers is a more unique name. There are other characters called Brain/The Brain (such as the Animaniacs character), so discouraging its use will help reduce mistags. The alias will ensure people can still use brain_(arthur) or the_brain_(arthur) if they really want, though.
