Topic: How do I add certain tags to a 'master tag' or whatever it's called?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

One of my friends on Steam who I play games with doesn't use e621 (blocked in parts of Russia) and he's said it's fine if I upload commissions he sends me. Most of them are his own fursona.

I want to associate specific tags with the character tag so that some are automatically added and makes my job easier.

How would I go about this?

You need to request a tag implication.

Typically, character tags only imply copyright tags, since different artists can draw the same character, and a character can be drawn as any gender, any species, any age, etc.

Rather than implied or master tags, make use of Frequent tags. Go to Accounts and click on the settings button, then go into advanced. These won't show up on the upload page, but you can edit the tags afterwards and they'll show up below the tags box.

well for example, the character has cybernetic arms, they are a chimera, and they have a definitive eye color.

Surely I can associate green_eyes, chimera, amputee, disability, cybernetics, machine, etc. with the character?

I mean you can look at my posts if you need ideas, but typing all the tags is rather time consuming.

None of those would apply, because they're all factors that can change with artist interpretations, even if your friend doesn't plan to change any of those things. Character tag implications are usually for copyright tags because, well, drawing Mario a different way won't change the fact that he's a Nintendo property.

Updated

You can use quick tags to make the process less time consuming. Go into your profile settings and there will be an option for it. Add tags you commonly use or are two long to type and add them there for when you need them.

Not to mention that, even if they never had any intentions to change any of those character aspects, they may not necessarily be visible in all pictures, and tags should only reflect what's present in the picture.
