I think the main Persona series deserves its own subtags, just like other similar series such as Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, etc.

To keep the tags relatively simple, I left the spin-off games as part of the core 'megami_tensei_persona' tag.

Edit: Well, it seems that the system doesn't allows changing alias to implication in single bulk update. So this would need to be made in two steps. I'll submit the next BUR once (if) this gets approved.

as tag sounds odd, because it's internationally Shin Megami Tensei and site goes by US based titles primarily.
Additionally Persona has grown as it's own series so much so that nobody will search megami tensei or shin megami tensei starting tag, I would rather go with something as simple as persona (series) as that would then implicate shin megami tensei (which it should be instead of megami tensei that it's currently) which would improve on searchability and SEO.

While a persona_(series) tag seems like a good idea, there's 80 tags in total aliased and implicated to megami_tensei_persona. It'd be necessary to remove and then realias/reimplicate all of those...

Come to think about it, now that the bulk update doesn't allow chaining (unalias, then alias/implicate to something else in the same update), can these even be realiased/reimplicated without admin assistance? Most of the current character implications have less than 20 posts, and unaliased tags will start at zero. Bulk updater doesn't allow making requests for tags that have less than 20 posts.

The 20+ post limit has been lifted, so it's now possible to do this reorganization in three steps.
