this current one is crappy. its like quicktime player. you cant even scrub backwards without it rebuffering already buffed video. thats just terrible lol

I agree to a point. What kind of Video player should be the replacement?

before you take this conversation any further, i have to mention that as far as i'm aware, the current video player is just the browser's built-in player — are you seeing something different?

you may be able to get a level of improvement by just tweaking the browser's settings
( e.g. media.cache_readahead_limit, media.cache_size, media.memory_cache_max_size )
or using a different browser entirely
