Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: person_present -> gift_wrapped

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #47385 person_present -> gift_wrapped has been rejected.

Reason: We should avoid "person".

All cases seem to present a case, where a character is having gift wrapping on them.

Should there emerge a case, where a character is presented as a gift, without being wrapped as one, character_as_gift should be brought to use, instead of person_as_gift or person_present.

This tag is easily confusing, for indicating the presence of a person rather than a person being a gift type of "present".

This relates to alias request person_as_gift -> gift_wrapped

EDIT: The tag alias person_present -> gift_wrapped (forum #298018) has been rejected by @Millcore.

Probably because it's being currently-populated by a single user alongside the person_as_gift tag.
I agree. There's likely utility somewhere in having a tag for non-gift_wrapped individuals being given as property.

I agree. As I said, for that, the tag should be character-based instead of person-based, and preferrably as_gift rather than present.

ASch... I don't know what is going on here. The created wikipages for these two new tags recognize gift_wrapped, but do not explain distinction between the three tags. Apparently the creator of the tags is taggin images with gift_wrapped tag alreay, as the search for person_present -gift_wrapped gives no results.

@toboe, what's the idea here?

Sorry for rushing into alias-requests.

Ok.
