Topic: equating penetration with domination

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

i've noticed some content gets tagged as "domination" which i personally don't consider such, usually images of women penetrating men. for example, i don't view posts like #1765652 and #2392854 as displays of domination and submission. it's just weird to presume penetration equals domination. i hope most people don't see the mere act of a man penetrating a woman as an expression of dominance, so why should the inverse be true?

Domination, or in this case female_domination, has never implied/equated to penetration.
Physical contact may not even be needed for a post to be considered for the domination tag.
You just need an instance where a character is being submissive to another character, with the latter "taking the lead".

Another thing to note is the existence of the gentle_femdom tag in the mentioned posts.
It can be described as the males (or even females) being submissive to a female partner whose domination is soft and affectionate.
The polar opposite (i.e. rough femdom) can be seen in posts tagged with Dominatrix.

even with that definition, i still wouldn't say posts like the ones above depict domination. i certainly hope we wouldn't say things like being on top, having an intensely desirous look, consensual groping, or suggesting some course of action (not ordering, but suggesting) count as "taking the lead"

also, the wiki articles on "domination" and "submissive" define domination in much more precise terms

domination
A general test for Domination/submission is whether there is an imbalance of power, whether it be real (held at spear point) or permitted (holding a leash).

submissive
The dom takes control over the sub; this can be in the form of dictating their diet, or what they wear, or more intimate things.

with all that in mind, it should be undeniable there's a tendency for people to inappropriately tag posts as "domination" when women are just interacting with men in ways traditionally associated with men's sexual behavior.

Updated

I think in #2392854 it is clear that there is no domination. Both characters appear so nervous and hesitant that they are hard to see as dominant.

In #1765652 domination could be taking place, but that would demand lore-knowledge, as it is not depicted within the picture.

I have just today been thinking, if I have made misstags in this field, when it comes to size_difference which I may have lightly appended with big_dom_small_sub, especially if it is the bigger one penetrating the smaller one, and the smaller one has a moany face.
