This sorry saga should serve as a helpful example of why the BUR feature really needs to be updated to handle rename-in-place without having to first tear the entire house down and then reconstruct it from scratch.

Even just a "Second script" would work--something that ignores current implications and aliases when you write in the extras. This way the first list still does return the errors, but the second list can push those later ones in at the same time.

I'd say change it to [HALF-DONE] OR [1/2 APPROVED], something that makes it obvious the first one they check will say done but the second won't.
