Topic: [APPROVED] maneki-neko hyphenation

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #702 is active.

mass update maneki_neko -> maneki-neko
create alias maneki_neko (0) -> maneki-neko (170)

Reason: hello. i believe the correct translation of this Japanese phrase actually has hyphenation, as referenced on the Wikipedia article for it, and an additional Japanese source i found:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maneki-neko
https://zenmarket.jp/en/blog/post/6763/Fortune-Cat-Maneki-Neko

it's my first time doing this, so hopefully i wrote the script correctly. thank you for consideration

EDIT: The bulk update request #702 (forum #305554) has been approved by @Millcore.

Since you only want to alias one tag you could've just requested an alias instead of creating a bulk update. A mass update is also unnecessary as the tag will automatically be changed upon the creation of the alias.

None of these things are really a problem, the tag script should still run just fine, it's just a little unnecessary.

It may still be preferable to use a BUR instead, if only for the fact that a BUR can be edited in case of a mistake or if there are additional aliases or implications someone brings up afterward.
