Kind of a dumb question, in the "Quality standards" section they say: "All submissions need to display a solid grasp of artistic principles."
By all means, which principles are we talking about?

I'm not entirely sure, maybe try displaying a liquid grasp of artistic principles and work up from there?
Are you asking this in regards to a specific post, or just in general?
There is a short summary of the basic qualities expected of a post in topic #23578, under "What does the deletion reason mean?" -> "Does not meet minimum quality standards".
Understanding of anatomy, line quality, color theory, values
You could also search up art fundamentals.

I was asking regards the Nyami art I posted (And generally, since I have to get a better grasp on my art) but yeah, those reasons seem worthy giving them a look, thanks =}

Oh, were you the artist on that one? Sorry to hear that.
The primary reason why I deleted that post was because the character looked like a normal human wearing a hat, rather than a cat_humanoid that Nyami is supposed to be.
The "artistic" deletion reason was secondary for me, but I added it because of that hand, and because 2 other approvers labeled it as not meeting the quality standards.

Yeah, its kind of reasonable (I was struggling with that hand tbh, lol), the cat_humanoid stuff well... I don't know, but I'll try to avoid that in the future. Thanks for your cooperation =]
