Topic: [REJECTED] Recategorizing 'tagme' to an Invalid-Category Tag

change category tagme (5068) -> invalid

Reason: While tagme does technically count as a Meta-category tag, I think recategorizing it as an Invalid-category would be better.

The tagme tag itself it meant to be temporary and should be removed from posts with more than a dozen tags (as described by the wiki). It's current Meta-categorization reduces the tag's visibility, and currently there is an accumulation of over 1,300 posts with tagme. Making tagme an Invalid-category tag will place it at the top of the page and thus greatly enhance it's visibility.

tagme is a valid tag, though. If it's not being removed once a post gets a sufficient number of tags, I don't see how making it Invalid will help. If anything, it being Invalid may cause people to remove it prematurely, rather than being hesitant to remove it. And I think having the tag on a few more posts than necessary is better than having it on fewer posts than necessary.

I suppose so, though tagcount: can also be used to find posts with a low quantity of tags more reliably. I see how it could be helpful for folks who know more tags can be added to a post, but don't know the specific name of the tags to add. However, it also seems counterintuitive to have tagme on many posts that have more than a dozen tags. I don't know if anyone here would be willing to regularly examine the tagme posts to remove the tag from adequately tagged posts.
