Topic: Is this reportable?

If an artist who’s a child(under 18+) gets their artwork posted here is that reportable? The post itself btw not the user who did post it.

Artists who are younger than 18 years old cannot have their work posted here, no exceptions.

Is this true, though? It's not the first time I've heard of this, but as far as I can see, it's never been an actual rule.

There's no explicit rule, but an artist must be able to come here to issue a takedown if they wish to have some or all of their art removed. However, no one under 18 is allowed to access the site, so an under 18 artist can't legally come here to take down their art.

I wouldn't mind seeing some more clarification and discussion on if this is a real rule and why, especially since this is a G-rated art piece. If someone is under 18 they can use the DMCA takedown process to remove their art without having to agree to being over 18, or e-mail the site / have a friend create the takedown request on their behalf. Maybe the "I am 18+" prompt on some of the policy and takedown pages should be removed.

Also, once the artist turns 18 should the post be restored? Is there even an avenue for getting a post restored if the reason for deletion is time-limited like that?

Edit: I found relevant discussion here: https://e621.net/forum_topics/25640

I think it would be a good idea to specifically spell this policy out in the rules. Presumably, once the minor hits the age of consent and acceptable proof of their non-minor age can be provided, their content can be posted (and perhaps undeleted if applicable), but until then, the administration ought to remove any ambiguity in the matter.
