Topic: A yiffy lesson in geometry: Non-euclidean BUR

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #1206 is pending approval.

create implication voodoo_masturbation (100) -> non-euclidean_masturbation (527)
create implication voodoo_sex (372) -> non-euclidean_sex (1706)

Reason: The non-euclidean tags are umbrella tags for sex acts involving portals or voodoo. portal_sex already implies non-euclidean_sex.

EDIT 8/27/2024: removed "implicate portal_masturbation -> non-euclidean_masturbation # duplicate of implication #39939", as it's already been approved.

Can we please at least discuss what "non-euclidean" is supposed to mean? It seems to be being used as "magic", given there is no other possible connection between voodoo and portals.

It's basically used only for voodoo and portals, situations where positions and distances don't work by conventional mathematical means.

D = sqrt((X1-X2)2+(Y1-Y2)2+(Z1-Z2)2)

...is how distance is determined in a normal 3D "Euclidean" space, but for portals, are two ends of a portal some distance apart from each other or are they touching each other? It's not a very meaningful question. With the non-euclidean tags, things can potentially be far away and right next to each other simultaneously, unlike real life. Distances are not meaningful.

tl;dr: they're tags for portals and voodoo.

I'm not sure if voodoo necessarily qualifies. Voodoo sex can include a voodoo doll being molested and that effect being passed on to a character elsewhere, but there's no physical portaling going on. It's more of a psychic/magic effect than non-euclidean space distortion.

... Anything you do on Earth is non-euclidean as it is not, contrary to what some people on Facebook may tell you, flat. You posted an equation that holds no relevance on what the definition of Euclidean versus Non-Euclidean is. Euclidean surfaces do not exist.

If you wish to rename this tag and slave tags to something actually relevant to what it is trying to describe, by all means, but as it stands this is like tagging an image as having "matter" in it.

Does that mess up the BUR? I'll remove it to be safe.

Maybe? Honestly I'm not very sure given that I don't remember seeing it happen.

@votp
... Anything you do on Earth the universe is non-euclidean given that spacetime isn't flat.

Also yeah i'm starting to come around to the opinion that voodoo sex isn't necessarily non-euclidean, it's just magic over a distance.
