I have to manually enter tags like rating:explicit or solo or anthro when normally you're supposed to hit the buttons for those because the buttons just stop working for whatever reason. It's happened once before and it happened again yesterday, this time after I changed the theme on PC. I don't remember what caused it the first time

How would ratings be locked on a new upload?

Ratings can be locked by priv+ accounts, even immediately after you upload a post. So, the better question is what posts you're having difficulty with, so we can see whether or not they're locked.

Well, here's the thing. The post isn't posted because it is being uploaded by me when I try to hit the tag buttons
