Reason: This is basically just a garbage tag that users are thrown onto any "magical creature" as a way of adding another tag, despite it having absolutely no relevance.

Honestly, if Mimiff were only being tagged on images of obviously hybrid species, the alias could work, but it's not. It's being thrown onto images that are anthro or humanoid too, even if it's a single species or even an animate inanimate.

iko_mimiff says they're from a comic called Alonebound, but I can't find anything about such a comic otherwise.

Since the user (now banned) who originally added that seems to be Polish (see the delete reason), it's possible that "Alonebound" is an English translation of a foreign source that's otherwise untranslated. Just speculation though, probably not relevant to this discussion.

It honestly feels like "mimiff" is a kid's attempt at making a "species", without actually designing a species, but instead just dropping some "lore" or abilities that they could apply to anything. The wiki is unparsable run-on sentences. It was created by a minor, and was later edited by another minor (or maybe an alt of the first?). And all these variants would be just as invalid since they're those other things with the "mimiff" label attached. A "humanoid mimiff" is just a mimiff that's a humanoid, but as there's no way to visually distinguish what a mimiff is, what makes it different from a humanoid? What is a "trap mimiff"? Or a "batcoon mimiff"? A bat+racoon+"mimiff" hybrid? It seems very few people are even using these tags, but the few who are are applying it everywhere, and are in some cases applying it where it definitely shouldn't be, so IMO they should all just go away.

Fair enough. Added the big list, and... kirs_mimiff seems to have nothing to do with the mimiff? Aliasing that one away to its own tag.

That kinda looks more like it should be a character tag, no? The name on both images (and the fact that the two appear to be precisely the same thing) makes me think it was intended to be a character.

I don't think they're the same. post #3016171 is white with a bunch of circular markings, while post #3016865 has a bunch of constellations on its ears and a Libra symbol on its forehead.

Edit: Confirmed, they're a closed species by AriaNeanco

create alias iko:mimiff -> mimiff

Typo check: methinks you meant iko_mimiff with an underscore instead of a colon.

That wiki page reads like someone's attempt at personal lore they're trying to impose upon e621, perhaps terribly misunderstanding how the site uses lore in its tagging.

I love all the video game terminology without a reference to any specific game. So useful.

Both are in the script. I checked the tags list for *mimiff* and told it to show me empty tags too.

Okay, thanks. Gave a check to the various Mimiff uploaders wiki edits and I think that's everything?

watsit said:
And it was created by the same kid that last edited mimiff, and somehow has over 500 uses. If there ever was a case for still using invalid_tag, these mimiff tags and treboloids/pirozami would be it.

Y'know I'm tempted to agree. Aliasing them directly to invalid would ensure they don't show up anymore... but then that tag might be more likely to stick around. I think we ought to try the invalid category first, and if people still tag it all over, then we invalidate it completely.

I don’t think the admins intended to get rid of invalid_tag entirely, just to use the invalid category instead for tags where the uploader probably meant something else, and to help them discover what they should’ve used instead. But as far as I can tell, certain tags have no valid possible replacement, and the only thing to do with the tag is to remove it. I think this is one such case.

I mean, consider this: you could run through the search results for eyes and input the correct tag in its place on each of them: perhaps the tagger meant big_eyes or eyes_closed. But what do we do with mimiff? Just delete it, right? There’s no replacement for this tag since it doesn’t describe anything. The tag wasn’t added by mistake, it’s just not valid. We might as well have a bot delete every instance of it whenever it occurs. And in that case, we can just skip a step entirely and alias it to invalid_tag. I think, once all the invalid tags get separated into either the invalid category or the invalid_tag alias depending on which is more appropriate, a bot could just routinely delete invalid_tag whenever it occurs.

I asked one of the users who's been adding the mimiff tag to posts about what exactly a "mimiff" is, and this was their response:

Mirunekko said:

Are a monster species, they look like animals, but with multi eyes, multi mouth, ciclops, without mouth, or simply animal or anything fusion. They have a magic soul like a monster, they forma are various, as a animal like, a human like, or others things

...yeah let's keep this invalid

Ah, I see it now. Mistakes like this on my part are par for the course. I apologize and thank you all for your patience.

So, they can look like anything as long as they are magical creatures, somehow? Nor is there any reference to any outside lore so we can nail down exactly what separates them from non-mimiff. By their logic, anything on e621 could be tagged as a mimiff despite a lack of evidence or even TWYS. It's simply not going to work.

Alright... I'm not entirely comfortable aliasing to invalid_tag but if it's a genuinely useless tag I guess it's fine.

Looking at some of the originals, I assume they were supposed to be some kind of pokemon spoof, but some punks went around throwing the tags on completely random images.

Looks to me like this was only ever a vanity tag for one specific person, who was also tagging actual species at the time like rabbit, and then proceeded to get extremely strange ideas about how to continue using the tag (including replacing hybrid on art they didn't make.) Of the 19 accounts I've counted using this tag, one uploaded an edit where the parent post had mimiff, one uploaded nanachi art where they included both narehate and mimiff because the tag is just that omnipresent, and twelve (now thirteen) of them are banned for being underaged or ban evasion.

Putting aside the few accounts that can be explained away as making honest mistakes... if ever there was a ban-on-sight tag, this would probably be it.

Yeah, I hear you. It may have started as some pokemon spoof, but the very creator of the concept lost track of it and threw it on everything. If the pseudo-species very own creator couldn't keep it straight, it really has become invalid.

It's a good idea but have a big problem....... The mimiff tag is a almagam from ideas, as multi eyes and multi mouth, also is aplicate to iko and other (mimiff species) also is very weird see a hybrid with multi eyes or another characteristic, very look like a unique species or something, i talk with my sister, (yeah is my sister, and look like that is fault, because the true account account (mimifftrash or someone) she abandoned the e621, and follow in the site like she, also i steal her art, really is not a kid, she have 17 old years now and everytime i love my sister, she no have the fault, me and my cousin have the fault

Is curious, because the trebols are the antagonist for a rpg game in deltarune style, now? Cards in the car, trebol - darkners and mimiff - monsters, because are technically a magic species, i know

The true spoof, well.... Are very differents to pokemon, in appeareance. Because these creatures.... Well, they like more a monster from undertale than pokemon in appearance, i just say this, because i'm job with she...maybe is a geek reference to her shaman folk or maybe said to me

I understand to your words, my sister is very weird in personality, she maybe have that idea and she say, the monster can more ocults species? Well.... Her say that, also she is canadian kazakh, not polish... Or maybe, we the asians have any ideas for a new species or some

I sincerely doubt you and your sister have made anything playable. Regardless: you do not get to arbitrarily call characters like Nanachi, Kamishirasawa Keine, or Charlotte "mimiffs" if nobody knows how to distinguish them from other mammals. You don't get to arbitrarily call Vibri or Taokaka "treboloids" if nobody knows how to distinguish them from literally any other species.
Even if you had a game and actual artwork to go with it, this pattern of consistent tag misuse probably ruined any chance you had of properly tagging such artwork.

Given the latest uploads from @sakkopost: sistayatsa and onoi should probably also be up for invalidation; I checked the source links for the associated images and haven't found any mention of those terms.

I checked the deleted posts under both tags, and yeah, they're both dumb vanity species tags being applied to images the siblings didn't make. Invalidate 'em.

Exactly that. A species tag is only useful if it's only used for that species only.

We understand it, in fact I was the only one not to tag anything at that time, also I don't think it is an invalid tag, rather, let's say that my 25-year-old cousin liked to put those tags on Nanachi just because the mimiff share a species unknown that was never shown, well, I will not say that creating a game is easy, but if we take into account that 3 people cannot do all the work of the project, curiously these 2 ideas are from 2017, while deltarune in 2018, and regarding the trebols, they would be something like the early version of the darkners being that this idea came out first, the basic idea was that the trebols would be the rivals of the mimiff, and their appearance would be between say ... marine creatures with chess patterns supposedly, however, my sister started to create various trebols, so to speak, and as for the onoi, they are mimiff with a rather cold and aggressive personality, who would use the other mimiff as slaves and also the monsters, darkners and trebols, and don't look at me, I was only on the mirunekko account, it was just the post uploader of nintendo things, I swear to you that in most things related to fake nekko accounts, they are pretty bad organized, I was one of them, the others apparently, contacted some friends in fact, in the account that is actually (surprise ...) another false account, I only published the art of nekko and related to nintendo, the problem is that sakkopost, (his true age is 25 years old, and I have seen older people so they behave the same or more immature) forced any character to label him as one that has nothing to do with (we must remember that klonoa is not a hybrid , its creator commented on it years ago)
and to create a mimiff, I would say that it is advisable to have imagination in that, for creating a mimiff, first you must choose the ingredients, any creature, (any inanimate creature with mimiffex is acceptable), multi eyes or multi mouths in the face, ears body or tail, the horns is acceptable, (but also there are antennas, wings among others) ready! is a mimiff and as for the trebols, well ... just grab anything, put concepts, such as sea creatures or birds with chess games, or any creature, combine them, and that's it, although they also become creatures with references to memes or things related to I do not know you, animaniacs style or being on television, however, most trebols have a more complicated creation structure than that of a mimiff, it can be a hybrid without being mimiff and that means that with 2 eyes it would be enough more than 4 or 5 eyes

what happens is that sakkopost / sakkowata, a 25-year-old woman forced us to put labels on anything that had nothing to do with it
in fact, I was one of them to be less productive in mirunekko's account, keep in mind that this is not actually renekko's, but rather used by his older sister

How do you "force" somebody to do any of this? More importantly, why should any of us care? The entire time that these stupid tags have been here, they've been misapplied to Klonoa, all three of the Animaniacs, Miraitowa, Someity, Nanachi, Faputa, Blooregard, Kyubey, sukusuku_hakutaku, Puppycat, Taokaka, Tat, Magolor, Drawcia, Kamishirasawa Keine, and several other unrelated characters. Your little crusade has actively made searching and tagging worse.

What, why? Like you just said, Kirs is an actual species. the Alias was from kirs_mimiff, which was being tagged only on kirs posts, to kirs. According to the ban evader their boss was trying to steal the species but it was still only on the actual species.

create alias trebols (0) -> invalid_tag (1)
create alias ikimono_(species) (0) -> invalid_tag (1)
create alias sistayatsa_(mimiff) (0) -> invalid_tag (1)

Reason: Continued cleanup after viewing the three newest accounts connected to this group. Two new made-up species get invalidated, and other iterations of already-invalidated tags get invalidated again. "Ikimono" also gets removed because 生き物 is just any living thing, and because mimiff's wiki used to mention "ikimono" explicitly.

Oops, sorry. I was going to respond, but got distracted, and forgot. My bad.

My intention was to just invalidate all mimiff tags, in order to avoid giving them any degree of legitimacy as "alternative" tags for the main species tags.
But on a second thought, just dumping those tags into invalid_tag isn't really going to help much, as that group will just move on to other species or come up with different wording to bypass the invalidation.
So, yeah, I'll change the alias to point to kirs in this case.

After doing some double-checking, these two tags do seem to point to an actual set of traits, but historically their use in tagging has been absolutely horrendous anyway, and the chances of them remaining on a post is low for as long as Pacherry's stuff remains delete-on-sight; see post #3016870 for one such example of these species tags being misapplied to unrelated artists. In contrast, Kirs have absolutely nothing to do with Pacherry to begin with.

Although it must be said that the creator of the term refused to describe these characters as mimiff, since they do not meet a similar characteristic, for example, I create an inklot with an extra mouth and eyes, then that would already be a kind of hybrid between a mimiff and An inklot, although if this is evil, technically it would already be a hybrid onoi, the other sentence already seems absurd to me, I totally think that these characters like klonoa need a species in themselves, I no longer see sense putting those tags like hybrid or mimiff I am not saying that hybrid could be an invalid tag, only that its creator said it was never one

Our only tag for having an extra mouth is multi_mouth. We don't use any species tag for things like that, because it'd be invalid. If I add a second mouth to a fox, it's not magically some new species, it's still only a fox. That's how it works.

I know, but and there is no mutant tag, also I can not even consider a fox with 2 mouths as a magical being, simply as something mythological and now, you must already be in the present, we are no longer children like anyone, where what pokemon or tamagotchi It is better, it should not be labeled as invalid, since this species is inspired by many mythological beings and monsters of popular mythology, also not only 2 mouths are enough to create those things, as I am already 25 years old and I am more responsible on the internet and real life, it would also enter more as a category of something similar to a monster more than magic

Keep in mind that there are usually mimiff as they would be, seams, eyes, mouths, horns, wings / 4 ears / fins on the head, strange tail, tails with life or things like that, taking into account these aspects of these beings, we will never know how the mimiff make their strange anatomy look similar to a type of monster work, from what little I know about them, apart from that when they die they turn to dust or they melt when they die, I only know how they work in that aspect, I also notice the darkners turn to dust if you played deltarune chapter 2 on a snowgrave route

Pacheri, Iza4k, Knightofhumanity, whatever your name is... look, can I call you "Mimiffstress"? Yeah, I'm gonna call you Mimiffstress.
I can't speak for staff, but I can't imagine anything you've done has endeared you to them. For as long as you refuse to go through the proper procedures to prove you're an adult (contact [email protected] to get that done), anything you make will consistently be delete-on-sight anyway (look as far back as post #2340332), and you refuse to adhere to site principles like "tag what you see". There is absolutely nothing these characters have in common that warrants them being tagged mimiff, but still you persisted in adding these kinds of tags to literally two thousand posts. All the while, you're pretending to be a completely different person, as if you haven't been consistently caught ban-evading.

Your made up terms are of no value to us whatsoever, and your deep mimiff lore means absolutely nothing to us. You've been doing this nonsense for literally a year and you've collectively gone through more than 20 banned accounts. Your CWC-esque lunacy has permanently soured any attempt you might make to categorize any artwork of your various species.
If there needed to be a unified species tag for Klonoa and Klonoa-lookalikes, that would've been something to start a thread over. If you wanted to have a species tag for your artwork in particular, then that probably would've worked out just fine. Hell, I think people would've outright ignored you. Instead, you chose to respond by just creating a bunch of headaches for everyone involved. As they say: "the nail that sticks out gets hammered down."

To, again, put this in a language you might understand: 「ミミフ派は死ね。」 (Mimiff-posters should die.)

I don't have any idea aboot talk to my sister b-but hey, we shouldn't exaggerate either, iza4k is just a collector of bird photos in his current deviantart description, at least he doesn't hurt, while sakkowaka does, despite being older, she only has about 4 accounts banned She has done a lot of damage to be someone older, I will never understand why my sister and others are so toxic here, but I will just keep quiet, since I do not like to fight here, Also I looked for this just for fun only

I may be someone who exaggerates but I understand that she made those pacherry accounts to make herself pretend for someone who is not, so the safest thing is that I tell her to stay away from here until she matures, on the other hand I only I help to detect trolls and stuff, I could do more things in the future but only when someone needs help

my original account was marianaglaceon, (my real name is sheker) but it became the property of my sister, I had another account in 2020, there I had another style, I kept using it from time to time I think it was called kazakhdragon or something like that Little I know about those accounts is that in the first one I uploaded a photo of Chara, Asriel and Frisk. Then I changed to kazakhdragon so as not to be the mockery, perhaps most of them know it from the nsfw of Among us uploaded by rule 34, in those I had already abandoned them, well kazakhdragon used it from time to time, from there there is nothing i understand you guys

although I'm not going to be here long since I have to practice music to upload them in some weird part but I know it will be worth it

The lack of self-awareness with this individual (or small group of individuals) is almost awe inspiring. But please, get a clue and a life.
