Reason: An "exotic species" is too vague of a description in itself, and relies too much on the user's own context/perspectives to be consistently taggable.

I can kind of see the value here for tagging characters that are not of any particular species. Weird one-shots. Bizarre creatures. But there should be a wiki page made to set prerequisites for using the tag. For example here a demon would probably be a valid tag rather than exotic_species:
Yet, I'm not sure I see the value of the tag for search purposes. Perhaps someone doesn't want to see anything that cannot be categorized (exclude the tag)? Or perhaps someone wants to see really weird things (include the tag)? If you remember faintly a posting you once saw, that had something really bizarre, it's still not very likely that it would be tagged as exotic species.
I feel like the intended subtext of this tag is "look how special I am".
