There are three characters whom the wiki says are the same: stanford_pines, stanley_pines, and grunkle_stan. Your request only aliases grunkle_stan, and gives a legitimate implication to stanford_pines. I request you update it so stanford_pines is also aliased, or explain why he should stay separate (e.g. different forms like asriel_dreemurr and flowey_the_flower).

There's also the issue of mr._waddles. His wiki page does not use the "mr" title, instead referring to him as just "waddles". Also, this clip I saw on Youtube calls him Waddles. I just want to confirm that mr._waddles is his show accurate name? People have used both tags for the character, though waddles is more common.

It should be the same as the wiki and use stan_pines and ford_pines instead (these are two different characters). Then make stanford_pines a disambiguation.

Actually I have no idea where the mr. title came from, I saw the tag being used and blindly trusted e621 users to use the correct name. I've changed it to just waddles for now but I have a suspicion that this name might be too ambiguous and waddles_(gravity_falls) might be better.

This sounds good to me, it's unusual for a character name to get disambiguated but I think it works in this case when two characters from the same show are known by the exact same name.

I vote for a bulk update of waddles and mr._waddles to waddles_(gravity_falls), so the aliases don't cause problems in the future.

  • For waddles, while we do have some aliases for common English words like rarity -> rarity_(mlp), I don't think Waddles is popular enough to justify it.
  • For mr._waddles, there were previously two mistags of mr_waddle_(mlp) as mr._waddles, which I fixed already.

This is a judgement call, though, so I won't complain either way.
