Reason: Sorry for the funny title but I had to do it

This BUR fixes some word names, and makes some implications to group flexing tags.

  • flexing and flexing_muscles are used exactly the same, so I made an alias for them.
  • I updated *_pec and *_bicep to the same as the tags pecs and biceps
  • Aliased some samey tags that were scattered.
  • Made implications to the main flexing tag.

I didn't implied pose from it, because I don't know if a character could be flexing a muscle without striking a pose.

Alternative

I guess penis_flexing could be here, but the definition from flexing seem to not accept this... The alternative would be:

Thoughts?

Wouldn’t flexing_biceps and flexing_both_biceps be the same thing? If the former is for only a single arm, shouldn’t it be flexing_bicep?

Apparently biceps is both on singular and plural. One biceps, two biceps.
The "bi" from biceps is because each one is composed of two parts. I'm not sure if bicep is a valid word in English.
I would like the input of a native speak of the language, though, since I'm not one and I might have misunderstood.

You would be correct that the singular is properly "biceps", so named because the muscle has two heads. "Bicep" was coined because "biceps" was mistaken for a plural term for the muscle instead of its heads.

(Also, the biceps we normally think of is actually the biceps brachii, which flexes the elbow. There's also the biceps femoris in the thigh.)

Updated

I'm gonna bump this, because I was about to make basically the same BUR. The only thing I would add is imply flexing_both_biceps -> flexing_biceps.

One notable thing is that there is a flexing_arm tag just hanging around. One could alias it to flexing_biceps, but that would not necessarily be accurate. The more reasonable solution, I would argue, would be creating an implication from flexing_biceps (and perhaps later the other arm related flexing tags like flexing_tricep, etc.) to flexing_arm, and from flexing_arm to flexing. There is a flexing_quad tag as well, which could then similarily be set to imply flexing_leg and it would imply flexing.

I agree with you, so I made an update to the BUR.
But I manually changed the tags flexing_quad to flexing_quads since quads is the tag base name (singular, from quadriceps) and the same reasoning for flexing triceps.

I also added a bunch of new flexing_* tags that were created over these months.

The word "flexing" is losing all its meaning for me now, with how much I'm reading it lmao

Updated

I was about to update the BUR with even more muscles that got new tags from the last time (the thread was 1 year ago! Wow!), but there's a limit of 25 things on a BUR.

Whoever wants to make a new BUR if this one is approved, the full BUR I wanted to make is:

alias flexing_muscles -> flexing
update flexing_bicep -> flexing_biceps
update flexing_pec -> flexing_pecs
update pec_flexing -> flexing_pecs
implicate flexing_arm -> flexing
implicate flexing_back -> flexing
implicate flexing_butt -> flexing
implicate flexing_biceps -> biceps
implicate flexing_biceps -> flexing_arm
implicate flexing_both_biceps -> flexing_biceps
implicate flexing_deltoids -> deltoids
implicate flexing_deltoids -> flexing_arm
implicate flexing_pecs -> pecs
implicate flexing_pecs -> flexing
implicate flexing_triceps -> triceps
implicate flexing_triceps -> flexing_arm
implicate flexing_leg -> flexing
implicate flexing_quads -> quads
implicate flexing_quads -> flexing_leg
implicate flexing_brachioradialis -> brachioradialis
implicate flexing_brachioradialis -> flexing_arm
implicate flexing_extensor_carpi -> flexing_arm
implicate flexing_extensor_carpi -> extensor_carpi
implicate flexing_flexor_carpi -> flexor_carpi
implicate flexing_flexor_carpi -> flexing_arm
implicate flexing_latissimus_dorsi -> latissimus_dorsi
implicate flexing_latissimus_dorsi -> flexing_back
