Topic: [APPROVED] That One Bug That Looks Like a Croissant That You Can Freeze and Use as a Platform BUR

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #1844 is active.

remove alias ripper_(metroid) (14) -> ripper (15)
remove implication ripper (15) -> that_one_bug_that_looks_like_a_croissant_that_you_can_freeze_and_use_as_a_platform (14)
remove implication ripper (15) -> metroid (4196)

Reason: Ripper needs to be disambiguated.

Sequel BUR below.

implicate ripper_(metroid) -> that_one_bug_that_looks_like_a_croissant_that_you_can_freeze_and_use_as_a_platform
implicate ripper_(metroid) -> metroid

Do we really need the unfunny "joke" tag, though?

I'm new here. But I do want to say, I think the joke tag has enough evidence of existing that it serves little purpose to exist anymore. That part is complicated when emotions are involved, but at the very least, it's already a story, eh?

Nevertheless, this BUR is worth it.

why do we still have the really unreasonably long pointless joke tag?

To remind users to stop taking the internet so seriously. Some fun is allowed.

I mean, I'm not against tags having silly names sometimes, stuff like lay_the_dragon and bros_being_bros are great, but it just seems like bad practice to keep two separate tags with literally 1-to-1 identical definitions for no apparent reason.

I guess you are allergic to fun.

It's on a whole 14 posts, it... really doesn't affect anything to just leave it.
