Aliasing fishnet -> fishnets

Reason:
Doesn't "fishnets" just sound better? Like you wouldn't say "she's wearing fishnet" you would say "she's wearing fishnets"...PLURAL. Don't ask me why, but I think anyone who speaks English would agree that's just the way it's said.

Hello, English speaker here: you wouldn't say "she's wearing fishnet", you would say "she's wearing a fishnet...", if it's singular. Or "an" if the next word starts with a vowel, but the point is the reason it sounds wrong is because you're missing part of the sentence. Hell, even with my example it's still incomplete (hence the ellipses), since fishnet is a descriptor it should be "she's wearing a fishnet clothing.", and et cetera. English has fewer ways to make plural objects singular (we still call them eyeglasses even if it's one object), than we have ways to make a singular object plural (we can call pants both a pair of pants, a singular object, and a pair of pants, a set of 2 objects, by using emphasis). So, keeping them singular would be a better idea unless they "naturally" occur in groupings of more than one, such as stockings or gloves.

Or, at least this is from elementary school teaching, which was nearly 16 years ago for me. One caveat to English is that it's always adapting and changing, and the American schooling system doesn't regulate when it learns stuff or how...

seems AutoCorrect was out for blood in this post. Seriously, how many times do I have to use "pants", for it to not "correct" me to "paints"?!

I speak English (first language), and "she's wearing fishnets" makes me think she is wearing literal fishnets, more than one of (the noun) fishnet. "She's wearing fishnet" works better when referring to clothing since fishnet is an adjective to describe the type/style of clothing. I wouldn't say "she's wearing fishnets" as shorthand for "she's wearing a fishnet shirt" or "she's wearing fishnet stockings". Just as I wouldn't say "she's wearing lingeries" in place of "she's wearing lingerie stockings", because lingerie is the type/style of the garment, not the garment itself which sometimes gets pluralized.

Firstly, that is not the proper way to suggest a tag alias.
From the navigation bar on the top of the page, you will find the tab Tags, select Aliases, and then Request alias.
Or more simply, you could just select Request alias under the Forum tab.

Secondly, as for your fishnet -> fishnets alias reversal suggestion, you will need to create a BUR request to dealias the previous fishnets -> fishnet alias first.
This can be done so by selecting Request BUR under the Forum tab, and using the following script unalias fishnets -> fishnet. Only then can you suggest for an alias of fishnets -> fishnet using the steps I mentioned before.
