No, it's better to implicate. Police is the umbrella tag encompassing anything relating to law enforcement, which can include the person (police_officer), police_uniform/police_hat, badge, police_cars, police helicopters, police boats, to even flashing police lights.

From the wiki page, police seems to specifically refer to the people that make up the police. However, I can see redefining it to be a general tag for anything police-related. In that case it would probably be good to create a BUR to implicate the other police-related tags as well.

A bit late, but was looking at officer tag, and it maybe needs an implication for police and military officers. Also, I found one of the few examples of a Japanese Imperial Officer and his uniform to tag as example today, when looking into my browser history for e621. Been reviewing my history on this site and... it's slow going. XD

Part of me wants it to be aliased to riot_control_officer since riot_police can include personnel from police, military, & paramilitary forces.
However, seeing how rare the tag is being used to begin with, do you think this kind of distinction is needed or would simply implying it with police_officer/police be sufficient?
