Thanks for the effort but it was really just as easy as looking at the BBD account info

I try to find a link chain from the tag that will be removed, to the tag that it will be replaced with. So that if Random Artthief on Twitter says, "yeah, I'm actually waterabsorbant's new account," we don't alias waterabsorbant -> random_artthief.

Of course, given the amount and consistency of art on the BBD FA, I don't think even weirdos from the internet would put in so much effort. And I may be wasting my time anyway; I think I've only seen two cases where the suggested artist alias was bad, and neither of them were malicious...

I guess I just like feeling like an internet detective lol. Snooping around old profiles and such.

I get that feeling, makes sense👍

I think that it would be better to alias both to splashyu.
The artist seems to sign most of their artwork with their Patreon URL.

Sure, please reject this alias so I can make the BUR

alias waterabsorbant -> splashyu
alias bbd -> splashyu

I thought we had stopped aliasing short common tags, such as bbd? I understand the fact that this tag seems to be used solely for this artist, but still... I find it it odd. I also searched "bbd" on Urban Dictionary and found 6 pages of definitions entries: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=BBD

I really doubt we’re ever going to see a valid tag based on any of those.

Anyway, in this case, the artist is still using the FA account with the name BBD. If anyone is familiar with the artist only on FA and wants to try to find them here, or tries tagging a post with their artist tag here, it would be best to have it redirect to the correct name in case the user is not familiar with the artist’s correct name.
