Looks like it was proposed before on topic #21203, arguing that using the *_(dragon_ball_z) might be more accurate.

imply perfect_cell -> cell_(dragon_ball_z)

Cell is the character's name, while Imperfect/Semi-Perfect/Perfect are the different forms of the character.

"Cell" is his name, but he has 3 (AFAIK) forms: imperfect, his initial form; semi-perfect, the form he turns into after absorbing android 17; and perfect, the form he achieves after absorbing android 18 while 17 is still inside him, as well as starting in after a failed self-detonation to destroy the planet. Cell stays in his perfect form thereafter, or as much as I know from DBZ and Super, the latter I haven't watched much of.

I'm torn on this one... on one hand, we typically don't imply unique forms to one base tag, see Link and all* his* other* forms*, but on the other Cell might be a unique enough case to warrant a base tag. In any case, each form is visually unique, and I even pondered whether or not which of his forms would be considered anthro and which would be humanoid. It's ultimately not my hill to die on, though: so long as each form has it's own tag and follows a standard, either implying a base tag or wildcard searching would work.

That is the thing though, Link in on itself is his base human form, while his other forms are unique enough to be a character tag by itself (being different species as such).

However, Cell can only appear as one of these three forms (i.e., Imperfect/Semi-Perfect/Perfect, barring the larval stage) and does not have a "base form" like Link.

See also shaymin. It's the name of a species, but is not in itself a particular form of the species. A shaymin must be one of sky_forme_shaymin or land_forme_shaymin, it can't be just a "shaymin" without also being one of the forms. As such, both sky_forme_shaymin and land_forme_shaymin implicate shaymin. In contrast, charizard is also the name of a species, and is specifically the base/original form. A charizard can alternatively be a mega_charizard_x, gigantamax_charizard, or whatever other forms they add in the future, but these are separate and distinct from "charizard" itself. As such, those forms do not implicate charizard.
