create implication io_(paladins) (36) -> paladins (0)
create implication luna_(paladins) (23) -> paladins (0)
create implication willo_(paladins) (12) -> paladins (0)

Reason: I noticed none of the paladins character tags imply the game itself. The game also doesn't imply video games or the developer.

create implication paladins -> video_games

Please avoid this, since video_games is currently in limbo with how it's going to be handled.

I'm also no sure paladins is a good tag, since it can be easily confused for the plural of paladin, which is a holy warrior. It may be better to move it to paladins_(game) or something.

Reason: Per Watsit above. Since the original creator isn't around, this BUR is intended to replace theirs. Also updating some character tags to get an identifier

(I already checked the paladins tag and cleared out any mistags)

is the salt_(paladins) -> io_(paladins) implication in the first BUR intentional? i don't know the lore of the game, but since they're both character tags i'd like to make sure that isn't an accident.

I believe yes, since in-game, Salt is actually just an alternate skin for Io. However, since they're still treated as separate characters and don't look all that similar, I didn't carry that over into my own BUR. It's like merging all the Koopalings together because they're alternate skins for Bowser Jr in Super Smash Bros.

dang it. fixed and thank you <3

There is no reason for that suffix to be there. Nobody has ever gotten confused by this. It's making a tag longer and uglier to help nobody.

On paladins (game)? I can assure you that the tag had mistags of generic paladin-esque characters.

A negligable amount that I have never seen a single one of in 6 years.
If someone started posting pictures of chickens crossing the street and tagging them animal crossing, does that mean that the tag is not specific enough? No, it just means that one person doesn't know how to tag. You don't have to change a tag of one thousand posts because of a few wrong tags.

If there's one thing I know about babby taggers it's that they love adding weird plural tags that have no real reason to exist when the singular version would work just fine.

Why would you inconvenience everyone who ever wants to look at paladins images on here ever again, just to not potentially confuse a new user?

I genuinely want to ask, what is the inconvenience? The autocompleted tags will grab it anyway

When did the Paladins community nominate you to represent them?
Type "paladins" in the search form right now, this very instant, paladins_(game) is immediately at the top. In fact, typing as little as "pala" will get you the same result. paladins_(game) will always be at the top of the suggested tags every time if you get that far.
Sorry to tell you this, but searching is still super easy.

e621.net/posts?tags=paladins is in my recents and typing just "e" into the browser search bar brings it up. That used to be useful.
Even if you disregard that because it is minor, it's simply ugly to have _(game) appended to something. There was no ambiguity, it's a copyright tag already. You're making something worse because of a non-issue.

...So update your bookmark???

Or how about they just leave it the way it was for all these years that was never an issue. Would you like it if the media that made you a furry randomly had a disambiguation added to it when it's the only thing using that name?

"paladin" is just like, a word, you know? it wasn't all that uncommon for someone to accidentally tag paladins when they meant to tag paladin.

it's easier for you to right-click edit your bookmark once than make random users realize a mistag and fix it themselves every time they come up.

This has happened one time in the past 6 months.

sipothac said:
and this disambiguation happened once ever.

The 1100 posts in the tag should take priority over a single person getting confused. There was no ambiguity.

golly dude, it's seriously not that big of a deal, it takes like 5 seconds in your entire life to edit a bookmark and then everything will be as it was before. just deal with it, I've never seen someone complain so much about a dang disambig.

What was the big deal with the previous tag? It takes 5 seconds to edit the very rare mistag. The new tag is just a downgrade, it's like having numbers at the end of a username, and it's to fix an issue that doesn't exist.

it didn't fit the format of similar tags and having disambiguating tags on stuff improves readability of tags which would otherwise have simple, ambiguous names. there was literally no reason to keep it as it was.
